Safe to park overnight at Tateyama station?

We intend to do 2D/1N trip to Alpine Route, staying one night at Hotel Tateyama. We will be parking our rental car overnight at Tateyama Station . Is it safe? Can we leave our big luggages locked in the car and just carry our overnight bag?

Beside Tateyama station, we found paid parking zone.here guards on duty 24h.you are not the first person, thousands of car owner parking their car .so it is undoubtedly safe.
