Overnight transportation from KIX to Kyoto

Our flight got delayed and is now arriving Kansai Airport at midnight. We stay at Kyoto the first night. Whatfs the best way to go Kyoto from KIX at that time?

The trains and busses will have stopped by then. Taxi is going to be very expensive. I think youfll need to plan on booking a hotel near the airport and notifying your hotel in Kyoto you cannot make it due to plane delay and will be a day late. Or waiting at airport until train starts at about 6 am.
I guess depending on cost of hotel and cancel fees, you may consider a taxi. It could cost 25000 yen and take 2 hours, though.
