Hida folk museum closed on New Yearfs Day?

Is Hida folk museum closed on New Yearfs Day (1st Jan 2020)? Would I be able to get to and see Shirakawa-Go on the same day? I canft find a lot of information on what will be closed for the new year. We will be in Takayama from the 1st-3rd January.

The museum website says that they're having an event from noon-3pm on New Year's Day, so presumably the museum is open at least for that.
