Can i buy a 7 day JR pass from Odawara?

Hi,

i'm currently in hakone and looking to head to kyoto tomorrow.

would be keen to buy a JR pass for 7 days to be used on this journey but unsure if the odawara office allows for purhcases or is just there for collection of pre-paid passes and i will have to schlep back to tokyo for purchase?

appreciate a fast response as travelling tomorrow.

Yes, you can between 8:00 and 20:30 at the JR Central ticket office:

A Japan Rail Pass may be too expensive for your journey.

I recommend that you write down your itinerary
(with dates, time zones and routes)
and show it to the JR Central staff at the ticket office.

In Odawara Station,
JR East and JR Central each have ticket windows.
You visit the JR Ticket Office of JR Central near the Shinkansen entrance gate.
