Nikko Pass & transport from Tokyo 2019/11/13 19:17
Hello everyone,

I read in another japan related blog that the nikko all area pass does not cover the transport from tokyo asakusa to tobu-nikko. So you have to buy an additional train ticket to get there. Is that true? Japan guide tells otherwise and the information on the tobu railway website is not very helpfull.
I want to go to Nikko from Tokyo tomorrow, so this is a last minute question but maybe your answers can also help others that struggle with the same question.

Thank you and sorry for typos and grammatic failures as english is not my mother tongue.

Have a nice day

No, the round trip between Asakusa and Nikko is also covered. However, note that if you chose to take a limited express train to make the trip between Asakusa and Nikko (instead of local or rapid trains), then you have to pay the limited express supplement fee separately.
