Items requested by a friend

Hey! So im gonna be going to japan pretty soon and some of my friends living there has requested me to bring some items for them. mostly local food that has been packaged (pretty large amount). Do I need to declare them in the customs declaration paper? Also will there be any problems regarding the customs?

the items im bringing in are :
- Chili sauces (about 9 jars of em)
- 5 packags of instant food

as long as it is no meet or has meet inside you can bring it.
There is no reason to declare, you may be asked why you bring this amount, just tell the truth.

it is okay, you do not have to declare since all of it is not a meat / vegetable / fruit
