Hi, I would like to do some grocery shopping while visiting Akita and Aomori next month.
Is there a place where the locals will do their grocery shoppings.
Not those big shopping centres or tourist places.

i live in akita city, i would recommend places around the train station , i havent been here in japan that long , let me ask my wife and i will update you with more sites to do shopping in.

Hi Stormystorm, thanks for the reply. Do you have snow in Akita city now? Will there be even more snow next month?
Ifm visiting Akita and Aomori next month and I hope I can see lots of snow in both Akita and Aomori.

its snowing right now and pretty cold , i was told that it is going to get even colder , sorry about not answering before i ve been a little bit busy with work, anyway since you come here next month i have time to answer :p

After coming Akita,shopping will not be your only concern
You must visit this beautiful city.so you can consider
akita chuoukotsu 1 day pass=1000 yen
Or,JR akita holiday pass=2440 yen
