Hakone Gora to Hakone Yumoto open?

Hi, Reading from web, the Hakone Ropeway is full operational. Please advice whether the section from Gora to Hakone Yumoto has been repaired and open?

Wont be fixed until late next year. It is on the railways website.

The railway is not operational, but buses were put in place as a replacement. Catch a bus.

Due to this section closure, should I start my Hakone visit:

1. Owadara-Hakone Yumoto-bus to Hakone Machi(Boat ride)-Togendai(ropeway)-Gora-bus-Hakone Yumoto-Owadara
2. Owadara-Hakone Yumoto-bus-Gora-Togendai(ropeway)-Hakone Machi(Boat ride)-Hakone Yumoto-Owadara

Which option (1 or 2) is better?

I would go option 1. As 90% of visitors normally do option 2. So less busy for you.

Option #1.

Option #2 is MUCH more crowded and when you get to Togendai there is nothing to do while waiting for the boat. Most people do option #2 for some reason - they get told to do it that way by someone.
