Miyajima torii renovation

Not sure if this question has been asked before but: Is there a chance that the renovation of the torii in Miyajima will be finished before 1 July 2020? We're going next year, from half June untill start of July.
Not planning on cancelling the trip to Miyajima or Hiroshima, but would love to see it in full glory.

There has been no official announcement yet. I have seen an unofficial source mentioning August. So, yes, there is a chance that it will be finished or partially finished (e.g. the torii most visible again), but there is also a chance than it will be still fully covered up.

No, not a chance. Information I saw was that the renovation would be at a least two years - beyond June 2021.

Original documentation was for a 12-24 month renovation. And then it also started about 6 months late.

Hmm well that's too bad, was looking forward to it! :(
Nonetheless, we're still going to Hiroshima and Miyajima.
