Is there a time you need to get parcels to the post office by in order for them to go out the same day like in America?

It depends on the individual post offices – at the small one in my neighborhood, Ifve seen a postal worker with the big parcel bags coming around usually around 15:30 - 16:00 or so. I know larger ones that have counter service available until far later, and I guess they would have different collection times.
