I'm a big motorcycle fan and In my opinion the Japanese ones are the best. Im planning on going to the Tokyo motorcycle show in March (this is not the Tokyo motor show which is for cars) The show is in Koto area and I'm wondering where to stay for easy public transport to and from the show area? I would like to stay in a Ryokan and be able to also see other sites in the city. The show is 3 days. I'm planning to stay a week +. Thinking about Shinjuku or Askusa for more authentic Japanese experience.

Rather than saying it is in Koto-ku of Tokyo, whatfs more important is along which train line it is. And Tokyo Big Sight is near Kokusaitenjijo station on JR Rinkai line and also near Tokyo Big Sight station on Yurikamome line.
Rinkai Line connects to the JR Yamanote line at Osaki, so places like Shinagawa, Shibuya, or Shinjuku (all on the west/south part of JR Yamanote line) would be easy. Asakusa would be a bit farther away.
When you say gryokanh please be sure what you are looking for – either traditional Japanese inn on the luxury side, or the no-frills budget side (recently this term is used to refer to either).
