Should they buy a 7 day JR Pass? 2020/1/15 20:46
Hello! Client will be in Kyoto 4 days. Then they are wanting to go from Kyoto to Kakegawa (1 day), then Kakegawa to Fujinomiya (2 days), then Fujinomiya to Tokyo. Should they buy a 7 day JR Pass? Thank you!

Hello!

Unless you are using the pass for the entire time and traveling a lot during 7 days, the 7 day pass isn't really worth the money as your client is only traveling to a few locations during those few days. I would just do 1 way passes as it would end up being cheaper.

Kyoto to Kakegawa = Y9,100
Kakegawa to Fujinomiya = Y1,690 - Y4,620 (depending on which trains)
Fujinomiya to Tokyo = Y4,930 - Y7,770 (depending on which trains)

Total Y15,720 - Y21,490

7 day JR Pass = Y29,650
