Shakai hoken cost

Hey all,
My company is telling me (ahead of my arrival in Japan) that the social insurance/shakai hoken will cost me about 40k~50k a month out of a 250k salary. This sounds pretty high to me, but I'm not sure. Does this sound about right for that salary? I can't find much information online about this.
