Shirakawago in end March 2020

Was planning to go Shirakawago and Takayama during end march 2020. Was wondering if the place will still be covered in snow? Also, is there any chance it will snow? Thank you!

End of March in a usual year I think there would be snow, but maybe not "covered" - might just be large piles left over. (Based on visits and experience.) And, yes, it might snow, it does snow in the alps through the end of March and into April in places, but chances are much lower.
This season is much warmer than usual, and there is generally less snow around, but there is still another couple of months of winter yet.
