Is there a specific date that the new japan rail pass ordering system will be available I.e. direct purchase rather than going through an agent, and launch of the new site for bookings? Thanks

Thanks very much. That's the article I read that made me think I should potentially hold off buying now as would prefer the additional benefits. Was planning on activating a pass on April 13th. Hopefully more info will be released in the next month or so. Thanks

Knowing Japan, 1st of April might be an educated guess, as many new things start on 1st of April. But this is only a guess based on Japanese culture.
