Apply tourist visa when COE under process

Hi,
My husband is working in Japan for a year as part of training , he was sent from his company in India ..he has COE, resident card etc..he has applied for COE for me and our 2 kids..In case if it's delayed can we apply for tourist visa and go there..or do we need to withdraw the COE before applying for tourist visa? Pls help

As far as I know, you cannot have more than one applications for CoE going at the same time. So you might want to wait for a while more, and IN CASE you decide to apply for a gtemporary visitorh (tourist) visa, you will need to withdraw the current application.
