Wakayama Kumano bus pass worth?

I will have JR Pass so I will go from Osaka to Kii Katsuura, and from then Nachi and Yunomine Onsen and from Hongu back to Shingu or Kii Katsuura, is it really worth paying 8.500 yen for this 3 day pass?

Did a similar trip a few years ago, used mostly JR Pass, occasionally short bus trips; did not find bus pass was useful for our trip. You might want to consider Kumano-gawa Boat cruise to Shingu.
