Hi, I saw on the website that Rinnoji Temple has autumn light up in Shoyen from 25 Oct to 15 Nov. I am intending to visit the temples in Nikko on 14th Nov. The Shoyen visit usually costs 300yen for the day time and 500yen for the night time. Trying to combine my Rinnoji visit into one, would I be able to pay 500yen to visit Shoyen before 4pm and stay till the lightup comes on? Or do I have to leave when it is 4pm and buy another ticket to return? I understand minimal Japanese so I am trying to find out beforehand.
Thank you!
Cheers, Audrey

I think 500 yen is enough. Enjoy your upcoming trip.

Unfortunately, You can not stay through daytime to nighttime. The Shoyo-en will open from 8am to 4pm on Winter Season (from November to March). If you entered before 4pm, have to exit at 4pm once. If you want to see the lightup, you have to enter after 4pm. Have a enjoy trip.
