If you can hear the song, just use the app "shazam" where it listens to songs and tells you the name of it. That should work.

I'm surprised that app won't work considering it even works for foreign songs. Odd. Is it just some very obscure song that isn't famous?

Shazam and those other apps do not really work well to identify Japanese song unless they are famous song.
