Use this tool to get sample itineraries. Enter number of days and arrival airport to get some ideas. Change the itinerary to suit your needs. Itfs a good starting plan.

To add to the other very helpful posts, this forum is not a travel agency - don't expect someone to plan your trip for you. You will need to do your own research and come up with your own plan, which this forum can then provide advice on. The sample itineraries on this website are definitely a good place to start.

If you don't want to do any work yourself, then you should pay a travel agent to do it for you.

For the dates you have mentioned you need to be aware of Golden Week which might cause you some travel issues depending on your itinerary. https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2282.html Personally I'd try to move my dates a little to avoid it.

You should be able to see cherry blossoms in Tohoku and Hokkaido. The rest of the country will have other blossoms, like azaleas and wisteria around that time. Do you have any must-see sites, cities, or experiences? There are lots of ways to spend 18 days. A little more from you about your expectations and the types of places you are most interested in would be helpful in forming suggestions (or things you definitely are NOT interested in is also helpful).
