Foreign Vets in Hokkaido?

I am a foreigner and I have done my research on the supply and demand of companion animal vets in Japan and it would seem there is a large percentage of these vets in the Kansai region but not so much in Hokkaido. I would like to know if there any foreigner vets on the island and what are their experiences. Yes I know that i need to be very fluent in the language to even study there and that there are alot of vets in the city areas . I'm not looking to live in city areas but more so rural areas . So I would like to know what experiences that anybody would have had living and working as a vet in hokkaido considering that they are a foreigner.
