Can I mail wine to Japan?

I wish to send a bottle of hungarian wine to my girlfriend in Tokyo, but I have trouble figuring out the rules. Do Japanese customs allow it? I know there is a 10 kg limit, but it is only one bottle, so it will never get close to that.
But do you need to be a certified shipper?

If I were to send wine from my country, Japan, to a foreign country, the best place to ask would be our local post office. Perhaps the post office of the city you live would be able to guide you to an appropriate place to ask.

justmyday, I think the OP wants to send the wine from a foreign country to Tokyo, since he writes "Japanese customs", while the link you provided is about sending from Japan.
