Where can i get snowskin mooncake in japan? 2020/9/23 21:02
Mid-autumn festival is approaching and I'd like to gift snowskin mooncake to a special someone in Japan, Chiba prefecture. However, it is tricky since snowskin mooncakes are not baked, they must be refrigerated. I am wondering if there are any bakeries in Chiba prefecture able to make and deliver snowskin mooncakes?

Hi :)

In Japan this confectionary often is called Tsukimochi.

It seems like this store in Tokyo is selling them: https://www.nakamuraya.co.jp/location/brand/001.html#Shop

Chiba prefecture is very close to Tokyo prefecture, so maybe you can give it a try.

Also this one seems to sell them:
Geschäftsname: The Peninsula Boutique & Cafe
1-8-1 Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokio Die Half island Tokio B1F
TEL: 03-6270-2717
tokyo.peninsula.com/boutiqueandcafe/jp

I really hope that you'll find them :) since their only sold at a special time of the year.

This recipe does not require special ingredients that are hard to find and you can get everything online if you donft live close to an Asian market. Itfs the perfect recipe to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
