How to say furloughed?

How do you say “furloughed” in Japanese?

I want to say “I was furloughed due to COVID-19.” Please advise me how to correct the sentence below ↓

新型コロナウイルスのため、一時帰休(させられました/になりました)。

Also, which term is more commonly used, 一時帰休、賜暇、公暇 or something else?

解雇 is "be fired".
一時 is "temporary".
帰休 is "go home and have rests". in this case, your job position is still in your company. they may pay a part of the original salary. this word may be used for 正社員.

if you work on the basis of work contract, you are not 正社員.

Indeed, 一時帰休 and 自宅待機　are the terms often used.

It seems like 一時帰休 is the most appropriate term in my case.

Which one sounds more natural, させられました or になりました?
I'm leaning towards the former since mine is an "involuntary" furlough, while my company also offered "voluntary" furloughs.

I would say either:
一時帰休させられました (I was made to …)
or
一時帰休を命じられました (I was ordered to…)
