What does this dialogue mean? 2020/11/10 19:14
I'm really having a hard time trying to understand this sentence.

"そのめ。。。俺たちを「ふるい」にかけ始めやがった。"

He (has the nerves to) starts seeing us as old/antique/separating us...?

Context: the speaker is saying this to another person, in regard to another person who seems to be neglecting them.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know what this means: "そのめ。。。(or maybe the character's name is "sono"?)
but
俺たちを「ふるい」にかけ始めやがった。"
means "(they/he) started to sift us," " started to put us through a sieve," meaning something like "they/he started to select us according to what value we bring to them, select who survives, be selective about us (according to what criteria we don't know), etc." but the context doesn't tell enough about it.
