I am looking to get a working holiday visa in Japan after covid. After the year is up I want to get a student visa and get a degree. Is there any restriction on doing this? Like having to leave for 6 months first or something?
Thanks

pretty sure you have to return to a/your country and cannot apply for another 12 months after a WH visa.
I'd be asking immigration is you can change status while in the country.

The working holiday visa arrangements differ depending on which country you are from - with some countries, you definitely need to leave Japan once at the end of the working holiday (that is the condition for the WH). With others, a change in resident status from WH to Student should be possible. I donft have an official source at hand so Ifm not quoting which countries. You might want to check with the Embassy of Japan in your country.
