Working remote Japan job overseas

Hi all,
My job in Japan is currently remote, and will likely stay that way until the end of the year or more. Just wondering if immigration would care if I left the country for 3-6 months (currently on a business visa). When I return to Japan, is this something they might question or care about? Obviously nothing else would change, my job is based in Japan and I would be paying taxes in Japan.

3-6 months, fairly short time out of the country - I can't see why Immigration would be interested in that. More than 6 months you ight have tax issues. More than a year, might have other implications. I am assuming you are keeping your residence in Japan.

Immigration will only care if you left the country for more than one year without a re-entry permit. Or better: you would lose your status of residence in that case.
