Lump-sum pension tax refund deadline

Hi,
A few weeks ago I received my lump-sum pension refund.
I wanted to know if there is a deadline to submit the tax withheld portion of the pension refund (the 20% that's withheld for tax purposes).
I know that the deadline for tax returns is March 15th (extended to April 15th due to covid)
Does that mean I must submit the tax return application by then?
I heard from some people that after this time is fine but wanted to clarify.
