Japan layover flight 2022 possible?

I was wondering is it possible to have a lay over flight to japan? And fly out of japan within the same day? So i want to have a lay out flight to japan and then immediately fly to South Korea.
Is that allowed to do during the pandemic?

I don't think it's possible if you wish to clear the immigration and travel around. But if you stay airside for that day only (transit), it's fine
