Driving in Hokkaido using Indonesian License 2022/5/1 18:15
Hello people,
I am currently planning travel to Japan, particullarly in Hokkaido.
From my research, I found that Indonesian license are not valid for driving in Japan.
But, I also heard that exclude Hokkaido.
So, anybody can confirm this?
Thank you.

Only Japanese license are valid for driving in Japan.

However many nation can get a International Driver's Permit for up to one year to allow you to driving in Japan.

You can easily use Google to see if your home country is part of the 1949 ISP convention system.

Hokkaido rules are same as whole of Japan. There is no exceptions.

Hokkaido is part of Japan, and the rule would not be different from the rest of Japan.

Indonesian driverfs license or the international driving permit issued based on one unfortunately is not accepted in Japan.
