From Takayama to Toyama Airport

How can we go to Toyama airport from takayama on 24 Dec 2022?
Our flight departure at 12.55

We can not find the train timetable from takayama to toyama.
Please help us, so we can catch up our flight.

There is a train at 7:40am to Inotani. There you can transfer to the 9:13am train for Toyama. From Toyama Station you can take a bus or taxi to the airport.

There is also a direct bus from Takayama to Toyama Airport that leaves at 6:20am and arrives at 8:50am at the airport:

You need to be at the airport 3 hrs (international) before departure ,so the 7:40 dep = 10:45 arrival with transfers. Cutting it fine with no fat for unforeseen circumstances especially in winter.

I wonder if itfs better to spend the night in Toyama close to the airport bus limo station or hotels serviced by the airport limo than risk departing from Takayama in the middle of winter.

That page of the link is about the past demonstrative bus operation.
You see the demonstration period shown as from September 2019 until March 2020.

Later the operation of regular buses started, but currently it is suspended.

Connections are very infrequent.

It sounds better to get to Toyama Station by previous night.

You can see this thread about alternatives to Hyperdia which use to give you the train schedule:
https://www.japan-guide.com/forum/quereadisplay.html?0+175446 Those alternatives will show you the train schedule, but there are only 2 trains that go between Takayama and Toyama that will get you to Toyama with enough time to make your flight. The 7:40 am local and a 5:40 am local. The next train after the 7:40 am local is the 11:00 Limited Express which will not get you to Toyama in time to make your flight. There are no trains between the 7:40 and the 11:00.

Pre-Covid, I use t post all the time that getting between Takayama and Toyama via train is nowhere near as easy as it looks on paper, because there are just 8 trains a day that do the whole route. I found this out after I missed my 11:00 Hida and had to wait until after 1 for the next Hida.

As other people pointed out, you either need to take the early morning local with a transfer in Inotani or stay overnight in Toyama the night before. (@Fen, @aa, and @omotenashi pointed out. )

I think the cost of a taxi would be exorbitant, it's over 75 kilometers!
