Re-entering Japan after only 3 day 2022/10/19 12:11
I arrived in Japan on a 90-day visa to visit friends and planned to stay there for 2 months.

Unfortunately, I had a family emergency in the Philippines (my brother lives there) so I had to depart Japan after just 4 days. Thankfully, my brother is alright and I plan to travel back to Japan to resume to vacation. Will I be granted a second 90 visa or will I have problems re-entering?

If it's just the visa on arrival - then it should be fine.

If you have stayed 88 days and then come back 1 day later - that's when they get a bit more fishey....

If you are on the visa waiver program, absolutely no issue. A lot of people visit Japan and the nearby countries for short stays - say a Japan/Korea or Japan/China trip.
