Public transport to Seto-Ohashi Bridge Tour

I was lucky enough to get a spot on the Seto-Ohashi Bridge Tour next month, but their advice seems to suggest coming by car as public transport is a bit limited with long wait times. I imagine a return taxi from JR Kojima station would become quite expensive?
Is there a way to use public transport to get to/from Yoshima Island without significant delays? I don't mind if I end up on the Shikoku side, it should be easy enough to get a train back to Honshu.
