Hotel in Kamikochi in July 2023

I plan to stay hotel in Kamikochi during July 2023
Whther hotel is opened for booking now

I try to search in many app seem either not available or not found . I am not sure it is really fully book or not yet opened for booking

Reservation times differ depending on the hotel, but in many cases reservations can be made three months in advance, six months in advance, or one year in advance.
I checked the official websites of Kamikochi Onsen Hotel and Kamikochi Lemeiesta Hotel, where I have stayed before, to see if reservations were possible, but neither of them had started taking reservations yet.

I've booked a flight in June + August and won't book some of my accommodation until closer to the date due to availability so far out.

In general - I find it's more of a problem when they are smaller hotels in more isolated locations such as what you see in Kamikochi

Gosenjaku hotel started online reservation for 2023 season on 13th November. Their reservation page seems to be rather tricky so you might better call by phone. It seems many rooms on July are already booked.

Gosenjaku is the top notch hotel. If you are OK with the Japanese style inn, then you might better consider Nishi-Itoya-Sanso the fare of which is about one third of the Gosenjaku. I stayed two nights there last year and liked very much, especially their food.

They will accept reservation for 2023 season from 10th Jan 2023, 10 AM.

When I looked at the Kamikochi Imperial Hotel website, it seems that reservations can be made up to two years in advance by phone.
If it's the Internet, it's like six months away.

The current information was not for Kamikochi, but for the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.

It was written in a magazine that Nishiitoya Sanso will start accepting reservations from January 10, 2023.

I stayed at Nishi-ito-ya Mountain Lodge one night many years ago, and I made a reservation by emailing them. Location could not be better, so close to the bus station as well as the Kappa Bridge . You may want to email them directly for a room reservation:
