JR west railpass pickup inside station

Hi, I plan to travel to Japan next year and I planned to use JR west all area pass.

I will bought it from travel agencies online and exchange it to ticket in Japan.
However, I planned to start to use the rail pass at Joetsumyoko station. JR west website doesn't mention picking
up the pass at any station in Niigata prefecture, and my understanding is that JR west rail pass can only be picked up
at major midori no madoguchi or ticket vending machine with passport sign owned by JR west not JR East or JR Central.

So, (with my understanding) it is not possible to exchange E-tickets at Narita Airport, Tokyo, Nagano or Joetsumyoko
stations. Please correct if I'm wrong.
I plan to arrive Toyama from Nagano by purchasing Basic fare and shinkansen express ticket from Nagano
to Joetsumyoko and use the (yet to exchange) rail pass from Joetsumyoko to Toyama and exchange it there
before leaving Shinkansen tickets gate instead of buying it all the way from Toyama to Nagano which costs
6,710 JPY non-reserved which is 3850 JPY more expensive than to tickets to Joetsumyoko station.
My question is
Is there any fare adjustment vending machine with passport reader or midori no madoguchi inside the Shinkansen
paid area of Toyama station so I can exchange E-Ticket to a rail pass?
If it is not possible to pickup inside the paid area, can a person on our trip (with our passport) pick the pass while
the others waiting inside the paid area (if possible) or Joetsumyoko station.
