Music Industry In Japan 2022/11/28 21:35
Doubt Anyone Would See this But anyway!!

Hey guys . Nice to be here .
I am a vocalist ( sings in japanese most of the times ) who is going to move to japan. It's not like I want to make a living out of it but want to know which part of the japan is full of artists . I would like to hang out with those who share the same passion as me , join music events and have fun.

Where should I move to ?
It would be sad if I just moved there and there is no artist around...

Of course Tokyo is the answer. However...

It's not like I want to make a living out of it

Clearly you're under no illusions. In that case, every large city (Tokyo area, Nagoya, Kansai area, Fukuoka, Sapporo), and probably even the more medium sized ones (Sendai, Niigata, Shizuoka, Toyama, Hiroshima, etc.) have music scenes big and active enough to accommodate you.

If you are not making a living from it, what are you actually going to do? You can't just move to Japan, you need a status of residence.

It depends on what kind of music you do. For example, if it's rock music, I would suggest Koenji.
