Tateyama Alpine operation

I'm planning to visit Toyama during March and noticed that your website mentioned that the Tateyama Alpine route is "open from April 15 to November 30 and inaccessible during the winter". Since it is Spring during March, will a portion of the route at least be opened?

It is closed. You donft get to anywhere interesting with the remaining modes of transportation which are just at the very beginning and end if the route.
