Kurobe Gorge Railway in April

I'm planning my trip to central Japan, and Kurobe Gorge is one of the places I've included in my travel plan. However, I just noticed that the railway is not operating during my visit between 5Apr - 16 Apr 2023
I'm on a self drive trip and I'm traveling with elderly family members who can't walk too much, I would like to know which spots at Kurobe Gorge can be reached by car, without having to walk a lot and enjoy the beautiful scenery at the same time?

The roads are private you you cannot enter.
If you want something similar with car access. I'd suggest Tateyama town area.
