Rokkosan tourist pass

I like to visit mount rokko & where can I buy the rokkosan tourist pass in Kobe and what the cost. Can this pass cover the train to rokko train station. How best can I visit from Kobe main station. Thank you

According to information around 2015, there was a Rokkosan tourist pass for tourists from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, but it ended on March 31, 2016.

How to use the above pass as I�fll staying @ Osaka namba jr station vincity area. Can buy this pass in Osaka tourist office or Osaka station .What is included in this pass? Are mountain buses, ropeway included? What is the cost in October? Can I use this pass from Osaka train station? If not, which Kobe station, where I can take the bus 16 to mt rokko & Onsen arima. Thank you

I am not sure what do you mean by "this pass" but as far as I searched "Rokko Maya Leisure Ticket" is suitable for you.

As you are staying near JR Namba, you may better buy this ticket issued by Hanshin Railway company. This 1950 yen ticket includes

1. Round trip train from train stations of Hanshin Railway (in your case Hanshin Osaka-Namba) to Hanshin Mikage/Kobe Sannomiya.

2. Bus from Mikage/Kobe Sannomiya to Cable cars and Ropeway to the Rokko/Maya mountains.

3. Round trip of Rokko Cable and MAya view line (Cable car and ropeway).

4. Bus lines in Rokko/Maya mountain area.

All in all this ticket covers all of the round trip transportation from Namba to Rokkosan.

One problem is this ticket is not sold at Namba area. So you must buy single normal ticket at Hanshin Osaka Namba to Mikage (by ticket vending machine) and get the right train which stops at Mikage (ask station staff or someone around. Of course there is digital signage.). After you arrive Mikage, visit the train office before the gate with your paid ticket and ask for the staff for the Rokko Maya Leisure Ticket. Your payment would be 1950-(Osaka Namba to Mikage fare, 410) = 1540 yen. I am afraid you can't use credit card for payment so must have some cash.

With this map you will find the rough idea of tranportaion. You will come from the right side by Hanshin Railway to Mikage, get the ticket and take Kobe City bus No 16 to Rokko Cable Shita station. Get the cable car to Rokko Sanjo (mountain top) station.

You can take "Rokko Maya Skyshuttle bus" and "Rokko Sanjo bus".

For the return trip you can take either the Rokko Cable or "Maya View line". If you take Maya View Line, you can use Kobe City bus No 18 to Kobe Sannomiya station and go back to Osaka Namba.
