hiroshima day trip from osaka

dear bro n sis,

i'd like to ask about day trip to hiroshima from osaka, if my itinerary will be :
peace park
shukkeien garden
hisroshima down town

will i still have time if i go to miyajima island, since i have to go back to osaka at night?

From wherever you are staying in Osaka, you will first have to get to Shin-Osaka Station. It is about a 90 minute Shinkansen train ride from Shin-Osaka Station to Hiroshima Station, then about 30 minute train ride to MiyajimaGuchi Station, followed by a ferry ride to Miyajima Island. The Shinkansen Trains start running around 6:00 AM. There will be some delays for transfers, but my guess is that you can get to Miyajima Island around 9:00 AM.

Maybe an hour and a half looking around the island, and then take the ferry and train back to Hiroshima Station. It�fs probably around 11:30-12:00 at this point.

You will have several hours to visit Peace Park, the Garden, and downtown. You will then have a 90 minute ride back to Osaka. So Yes, it is possible.

Are you willing to get up at say, 5:00 AM, to make this happen?
