Can I use kyoku dome with a foreign address? 2023/3/6 01:09
I've seen the kyoku dome service mentioned here on this forum and other places as a good option for receiving things while visiting Japan. But when I read about the service on the Japan Post homepage, it says that the sender needs to fill out the recipients home address even when sending something to be picked up at a post office. https://www.post.japanpost.jp/service/sisho/index.html
It seems that this is a new rule, added within the last year or so.

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to fill in a non-Japanese address?
And if it is possible, do I have to show ID with my address, when picking up the package? And does the address on the ID have to match the package 100% like with my name, because I have non-English lettering in my street name, which could make it difficult to get it exactly the same.

Thanks in advance!
