Jidai Matsuri crowds

I have a room reservation for a few nights at Hyatt Place Kyoto and my check out date is Oct 22, day of Jidai Matsuri. The hotel seems to face the parade route and with the crowds that will be outside the door am I going to be stuck there? I believe the checkout time is 12 noon. I will be leaving to take a train back to Tokyo afterwards.
