Visa renewal and tax 2023/3/28 18:56
I have to renew my spouse visa soon.
I started collecting the documents.
Today I went to the city hall to get tax
課税証明書
住民票
Which i could get but the lady the told me that they couldn't find 納税証明書(nouzeshoumeishou)
Actually I don't know what to do.
Is it possible to apply for spouse visa renewal without this document?
Please share with me your experience.
If anyone has the same sitiation... plz share

You would better to contact with your regional immigration office about the documents for the renewal of your spouse. then they will tell you that which tax documents are important.
So, it is the best way to confirm it instead of posting here in this forum.

everything has a meaning.
when did you come to Japan as a resident ?
after you came to Japan (as a resident), how did you change your address ?

課税=charging tax
納税 = paying tax.
some persons don't pay tax, even when taxes were charged. so, immigration requests the proof of "paying tax".
if you want to have the proof of paying income tax(national tax), you need to go to tax office.
if you want to have the proof of paying resident tax, you need to go to city office.

if you apply a renewal of spouse status of Japanese national,
your spouse(Japanese )'s certificate is necessary. (not your certificate).

if your spouse (Japanese) has no (or low) income, you can submit your certificate in addition to your spouse(Japanese)'s one.
