Takayama/Shirakawa-go blossom status

Thinking about basing in Kanazawa April 11-14 and heading to Takayama and Shirakawa-go. I'm wondering what the blossom situation/forecast is like? I haven't come across much info for that area. I know the typical blossoms will be well over in Kanazawa by then, but are there late blooming varieties in nearby locations?
