Trying to locate movie prop samurai swords 2023/4/7 08:15
I'm having a very hard time locating where movie used samurai swords might be collected or displayed. Specifically, the swords used by Toshiro Mifune and Tatsuya Nakadai in the black and white Akira Kurosawa classic movies of the time.

I just want to see the swords in color! What does the Yojimbo or Sanjuro sword really look like? Or Nakadai's katana in "Sword of Doom" 1966

...or the bamboo swords from "Harakiri" 1962.

How cool would it be to see the real swords from "Seven Samurai"...!!!?

I've put in a few hours of internet searching to no avail. I swear - every search just leads to Kill Bill swords and websites selling junk.

Thank you for your helpful suggestions..

I don't know about swords, but I heard that Kurosawa's autographed colored paper and props are on display at the Picasso-do(ピカソ堂) in Gotemba.
I've never been inside, but I've passed by before and it's stylish, so I'm interested in it. (Immediately after exiting the Hakone side of Gotemba Station)

Come to think of it, the iron bridge where the Kurosawa movie "Heaven and Hell" was filmed is quite close to my house.

It may not be related, but in Karuizawa there is an antique shop owned by former Mifune Productions props, where you can see photos from that time.
