Which Rail/Metro pass for a day in Tokyo 2023/5/20 03:38
Hi, We are a Couple( one is Sr Citizen) and would be exploring Tokyo coming Sunday.

We would be using Haneda -Shinagawa Keikyu line and then Shinagawa- Harjuku- Shinjuku- Shibuya-Shinagawa by Yamanote line and back to Haneda Airport by keikyu line.

alternatively we may use haneda- hamantachu by monorail.

whether any pass available for Keikyu line + yamanote or Monorail+ yamanote line.

If No pass then how much yen are to be loaded in SUICA/ICOCOA card
For above itinerary.

Thanks a lot.

To be honest, that's too much traveling from town to town in one day to fully see anything. Unless, that is, if you're just hitting the spots for Insta photos and ticking them off as you go. No pass would work for you because most places can be reached via JR surface transport. All those Tokyo Metro lines have stations deep underground and you'd be walking forever to get to the surface and to each different town in Tokyo. I would just use an IC card if you have one or just pay as you go.

Thanks, everyone.

Redcliff says " JR Tokunai pass=760 yen for unlimited travel" Is it for a calendar day or 24 hrs ?

Boris says 800 Yens for 24 hrs ?

whether both are the same? or any difference

whether these passes are valid on the Keikyu line from the airport to Asakusa station?

Thanks a lot

Tokyo does not have any good day passes. All of them are either overpriced or can be used only on a limited set of trains. If you plan your days geographically wise, it is often cheaper and always more convenient to simply use an IC card instead of a day pass.

Here is a list of passes with details, including the ones mentioned by Redcliff and Boris:
