Get out of Station between JR Transfer

Hi,
I will be traveling from Hachinohe to Kakunodate and will require change of Shinkansen at Moriaka Station. There is 50 minutes between the train. I am wondering could I get out of the station at Moriaka and for some food then return to board the train to Kakunodate?
