Kansai Hokuriku Area Pass validity

Hello,

I would like to ask about the begin validity of the Kansai Hokuriku Area Pass. It will start at the date I redeem it or it will start the date I chose when I buy the pass ?

If I chose the participation date planned at 10 november, then I redeem it on 5 november. So the ticket validity will start at 10 november or at 5 november ? And is it possible to redeem it 5 november or I have to wait until 10 november to redeem it ?

It seems to be exactly the same as with the Japan Rail Pass:

1) if you buy it through a travel agent, you get a voucher, which needs to be exchanged to the actual pass within 3 months. At the time of exchange, you have to select a starting date, which can be any date within the next 1-month period.

2) if you buy it through the official website, you select a starting date at the time of purchase. Again, the starting date can be any date within the next 1-month period.
