Hi, I am planning a trip to Sapporo (including Biei, Lake Toya, Jozankei) in early Nov (starting Nov 2).
Is it too late to catch the red and yellow autumn leaves and does it normally snow in both places at this time of the year? Apologies for the silly q.

there are three or more great parks in Sapporo that will provide you with great leaves and flowers if they are still available

Thank u so v much for all the guidance. I decided to push the trip backwards by a week (starting from Oct 26th and leaving Sapporo on Nov 2nd). Hopefully, I will still be able to catch the peak foliage at Jozankei n some decent yellow gingko n red maple leaves in Sapporo.
Which parks would you suggest in Sapporo? Thanks again

Thanks heaps. I might be missing out on the leaves in Sapporo. My itinerary is as follows:
SAPPORO - btw oct 27th to oct 31st covering Jozankei, Otaru, Lake Toya and Sapporo.
TOKYO - btw oct 31 to Nov 6th covering Tokyo, Lake Kawaguchiko and Tokyo.
I think I may miss out on the leaves in Sapporo. Any chance of catching these at lake Kawaguchiko (this would be iconic)…

I think you can probably see the autumn leaves in Sapporo. Please open the linked website and check the latest information. Translation software allows you to read information in English. At this stage, it seems like the best time to go to Lake Kawaguchi is earlier than the best time to see it. https://weathernews.jp/koyo/spot/24904/?fm=areaDepending on the future temperature, the season of autumn leaves may come earlier or later. Please check back a little later.
