Regarding Nozawa onsen and ski resort

hi, i'm planning to go to Nozawa Onsen, and since it's at the bottom of the ski resort, was thinking of exploring the area too.

Question, whilst i'm not a skier, i do notice that they have a sightseeing gondola ticket, but there are several slopes where there's a gondola:

1. Which area would be best for sightseeing? from the Nagasaki station or the Hikage station?

2. Is the ticket for unlimited rides? It says in the remarks that it's valid for roundtrip, so I'm a little hesitant.
